The watches we handle at Kosetsu are over 40 years old.
Please understand that, unlike modern watches, malfunctions and breakdowns are natural.
We will do our best to repair your watch, but please understand that as it is an old watch, there may be cases where it cannot be repaired.
The watches we handle at Kosetsu are those whose histories are unknown and have passed through the hands of various people both in Japan and abroad.
Therefore, if you value the originality of an individual item, please refrain from purchasing.
Since it is an old item, we hope you will treat it with an open mind.
The watch you purchased will be overhauled and serviced before being handed over to you.
It will take about 1 to 1.5 months.
We will ship your order via Sagawa Express to the address you registered when placing your order.
You can also pick up your order at the store, so please feel free to contact us if you would like to do so.
For those who are unsure whether to make a decision based solely on the online store screen, you can also check out the actual product in-store.
We do not have a standalone store for antique watches, but you can inspect and pick up your items at YEANAY, our directly managed apparel store.
We have stores in Osaka, Kyoto, Shibuya, and Kichijoji, so please feel free to contact us.

The warranty includes information on how to use the watch and other precautions, so please be sure to read it.
・Keep away from magnetic fields
If a mechanical watch is continuously exposed to a magnet, its accuracy may be affected and it may require repair. Please keep the watch at least 5 to 10 cm away from magnetic appliances and other items that use magnets.
In addition, please do not store quartz watches together as they also emit magnetism. Please note that in some cases, demagnetizing repairs may cost as much as an overhaul.
・Do not get wet
Rust and corrosion are the biggest enemies of watches. There is no need to be too paranoid about this, but try to avoid getting your watch wet or submerging it in water as much as possible.
If there is any light water splashing, wipe it off immediately with a dry cloth.
Please be especially careful in the summer, as sweat and sebum may cause rust or deterioration.
Even if a watch is labeled as waterproof, its water resistance will decrease over time, so please treat it as if it is not waterproof.
・Do not subject to strong impacts
If the watch is subjected to a strong shock such as being hit or dropped, the heart of the watch, called the balance wheel, may break and the watch may stop working.
Tenshin repairs are expensive, so please handle them with care.
Regular overhauls are absolutely necessary.
An overhaul (disassembly and cleaning) is like feeding your watch and giving it a health check.
Vintage watches always require an overhaul.
Regardless of whether the watch is mechanical or quartz, if you use it for a long time, the mechanical parts will wear out and the lubricating oil will deteriorate, stick, or dry out.
An overhaul removes sweat and dirt from invisible areas that can cause breakdowns, replenishes dried oils, and replaces worn parts and gaskets essential for maintaining waterproofing, restoring the watch to a comfortable condition so that it can be used for a long time. Vintage watches are expensive, so many people purchase them as a lifetime purchase, but it is difficult to maintain them without regular overhauls.
There will likely not be an increase in the number of vintage watches in the future, so we hope that people will cherish and preserve these timepieces, which are also cultural heritage.
