This is an IWC Ref. 810A from the 1960s.
This model is equipped with the automatic movement Cal. 854.
The case is made of stainless steel and measures 34mm in diameter with a lug width of 18mm.
It has a neat design with a smooth bezel and straight lugs.
The case is relatively thin and has the proportions of a dress watch. There are almost no traces of polishing, and the hairlines and edges still retain their original shape.

The dial has a silver satin finish. The applied metal bar indexes, combined with the dauphine hands, create a neat and tidy impression typical of IWC. There is no distortion in the printing or texture, and although there is very slight fading due to aging, the overall condition is in good condition.

The movement is IWC's in-house Caliber 854. It is equipped with a Pellaton automatic winding mechanism, which is robust yet has excellent winding efficiency.
The movement plate is satin-finished and circular-grained, showcasing the beauty of IWC's finishing. The movement is stable and the internals are in good condition.
Another feature of dateless movements such as Cal. 854 is that they do not have a date function, which means that there are fewer parts and fewer chances of failure.

On the inside of the case back, you can see the engraving "INTERNATIONAL WATCH Co SWISS" and the reference "R 810 A." On the outside, the watch is waterproof with a crown marked with a fish, a structure that provides the reliability that IWC sought for everyday use at the time.

The strap has been replaced with a new grey embossed leather strap and features a buckle in the same colour as the case.

Opportunities to see this "IWC Ref. R810A" are relatively limited, and it is one of the few models from the same period to be in circulation.
Both the exterior and the movement are in very good condition.
There are few examples in such good condition that demonstrate IWC's aesthetic sense, which is based on watch fundamentalist thinking, and this is a valuable piece today.
